TikTok ranks ads that look like the rest of the feed. These six codes are the checklist.
1. TikTok-first
Match the style you already see on TikTok. Casual, not campaign. Feature real people (creators, employees, customers) so the clip feels native.
2. Trends
Stay on them. Find them in your For You feed or in Creative Hub.
3. Production
Shoot vertical, 9:16, so the clip fills the screen. High-resolution footage at 720p or higher, picture and audio both.
4. Structure
Open with a 3–6 second hook. Then the selling points and the story. Close on a clear CTA.
5. Stimulation
Hold the thumb with transitions, on-screen text, movement, emojis, and branding.
6. Sound
Audio carries TikTok. Use your own talk track, commercially-licensed music, or both.
If it looks like a TV spot cropped to 9:16, it isn’t a TikTok.
